Since 1995, Puar's Place has been entirely self-supported. That's a decade... God, I'm getting old. But back to the matter at hand, in this little hobby of mine, I have always been dedicated to dispensing with the content in an ad-free environment without any needless commercial bullshit. C'mon, everyone hates that site that may have been useful at one time, but now has banners and pop-ups everywhere that your browser crashes each time you even think about going to it, am I right? I've never been one of those assholes who's only in this gig to try and turn it into some extra source of incomce. Puar's Place and the websites that have spawned from it have always been about supplying stuff for all the fans out there from a fellow gamer and geek alike for free. However, its expanse has grown economically unruly with annual hosting fees tallying in the neighborhood of triple digit figures for quite some time. With most of my hours now being eaten up by Graduate School, it's been hard to find steady work during all this that not only pays well, but is compatible with what free time I have, and can be balanced out with my studies while still allowing me to actively maintain my websites as well as contribute to the various Scanslation Groups I work with. And now, a recent case of Identity and Credit Fraud put a dent into the funds I had set aside to cover the cost of keeping things up and running. Some of you have already taken notice of the more obvious, deleterious side effects caused by these troubled finances and written in, asked if there was anything you could do to help. Given the state of my current condition, those messages seemed to be serendipitous and, prompted by them, I'm giving those concerned Interweb citizens and anybody else who wants to help support Puar's Place their chance to lend some aid by making donations Any assistance to keep the gears going are duly appreciated and if you want to be exalted, acknowledged, or whatever contribution you make, just give me a holler and let me know, eh? Give a hoot, don't... Crap, nothing good rhymes with hoot. Eh, just give money if you can. (;
